However, critics have concerns. Weak internet connections, poor sound, or software problems can interrupt testimony. This makes it difficult for participants to hear or respond at the right time. There is another problem. Video can make body language, eye contact, and reactions harder to observe than in a courtroom. Judges and lawyers may have less information when assessing how a witness or participant is communicating, especially during complex or sensitive exchanges.
