These experiences may help them build useful connections before entering the job market.

Despite these benefits, critics point out a problem. The social media industry changes very quickly. New platforms, tools, and content styles appear frequently, while older ones may lose popularity. As a result, some knowledge or techniques taught during the degree program may become less useful by the time students graduate.
