Students use social media for more than entertainment and communication. Some platforms are also used to discuss goals and learning progress with other people. More students are sharing what and how long they study online.

Why do students share study records? Records can help them maintain their motivation to continue learning. Encouraging comments may make regular study feel more rewarding and easier to continue. In addition, students can discover learning methods used by other people. They may find useful schedules, note-taking ideas, or review techniques.

Despite these advantages, sharing study records also has some disadvantages. Students may feel anxious when comparing their progress with others. Someone else's long study hours or high results can reduce confidence. Another drawback is that creating posts may take too much time. Students might spend time taking pictures, writing comments, and checking reactions instead of concentrating on the learning activity they originally planned to complete.
